A few weeks ago someone accidentally crushed my finger with an iron drain cover in the process of executing a fuel spill cleanup in the hangar. I had to go to the operating room and have my split in half fingertip bone stitched together. and... the rest of the details is pretty gory. This has not stopped me from drawing but it is slowing me down. In spite of this situation, I've only missed one day of work.
There's an art exhibit coming up in Charlotte, NC hosted by Art, Beats and Lyrics in the month of May that I am planning on attending. Depending on what happens between now and then will determine what I will showcase. I'll keep posting. Lord knows I am praying my butt off while in the process finding other means of making myself more useful.

I managed to take time off for leave and was able to submit my watercolor piece titled "In Thy Will." as posted on this site selling as a print. Even though I didn't sell my original piece (I was a bit stubborn to sell it especially after the effort I put in it with a busted up finger) I really enjoyed being at the event. I haven't had the chance to meet all of my old friends due to taking off the next day to Raleigh for my cousin's graduation but it was great to meet them again and to see them enjoy themselves with what they do in the art world.

Yikes, that's horrible news. I've always been terrified of the thought of injuries to my hands, even if I don't make as much use of them as SHOULD. c_C
